NCPF Club Championship

Each year there is a competition run by the Northern Counties Photographic Federation which invites all of the 40+ camera clubs across the North of England to submit twenty of their best prints and projected digital images (PDIs) to go before a panel of judges. The top two scoring Clubs then go forward to represent the North of England in the national Photographic Alliance of Great Britain annual print and PDI championships.

The NCPF Club Championship took place on Sunday 22nd February and I was honoured that 2 of my photos were among those selected by my camera club’s committee for our entry. My club has some truly excellent amateur photographers and we are known in particular for our outstanding nature photography. I’m one of only a tiny handful of members who do creative pictures. Each image is scored out of a maximum of 15 points.

I’m delighted to announce that my Evacuee print scored 15/15 and my Moths To A Flame PDI scored 14/15. Both images helped towards the success of my camera club’s entry and members were tickled pink that our Club won both the Print section and the PDI section 😊. We now progress to the PAGB Inter-club PDI Championship in July and the Print Championship in October where the competition from across Great Britain is fierce!
